CAD Designer

With more than 50 years of experience in the Victorian glass industry, our client is Australian-owned and operated. They offer a complete and comprehensive range of glass products, services, and processes to suit the diverse range of clientele.
They are now seeking a skilled CAD Designer with a proven track record in creating precise 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
Job Description:
- Create accurate 2D drawings in AutoCAD from provided line drawings.
- Convert drawings into DXF and PDF formats with precision and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with Australian manufacturing standards and machine capabilities.
- Collaborate with the team to address any issues or discrepancies in the supplied drawings.
- Produce dimensioned drawings suitable for CNC and waterjet machines.
- Seek clarification and ask questions when necessary to ensure the accuracy of DXF files.
Requirements
- Proven experience in CAD design, particularly in AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Autodesk, AutoCAD, and VectorWorks.
- Strong understanding of Australian manufacturing standards and machine capabilities.
- Keen eye for detail and accuracy in drawing conversion.
- Excellent communication skills to convey any issues or concerns effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure with a quick turnaround time.
- Prior experience in creating drawings for CNC and waterjet machines is advantageous.
