Location: Remote with some travel, west coast preferred (LA, SF, Phoenix, and Scottsdale are best)
Compensation: $200k-$250k + equity

About
We are on a mission to financially enable plaintiffs to litigate and get the justice they deserve. We specialize in valuating and financing litigation so that worthy cases can get litigated even when the plaintiff and the attorney do not have the cash to fund the effort themselves.
We will differentiate ourselves from other legal finance businesses through a model that gives us more control to drive positive financial outcomes, and proprietary machine learning systems that make it possible to valuate legal cases more accurately. On the other side of the business, we bring to the capital markets an asset class that’s uncorrelated from other asset classes and recession resistant.
Mahway is a venture builder with the aim to build dozens of high-growth, unicorn-potential businesses over the next decade. We pair experienced founders and operators with proven growth playbooks, to solve some of our world’s most important problems.
Why this role exists
As the CEO, you will cofound this seed-stage company, alongside Mahway’s team of seasoned founders and operators. Together, you will scale this business to hundreds of millions in enterprise value. As the CEO, you’ll be responsible for building a company that is measured on AUM and IRR. You will also play a central role in fundraising, strategy, hiring, product, operations, and growth. Mahway has built one other litigation fintech company that is now valued in the 9-figures and has originated $50M in case value in just 24 months.
Required
- Sector experience in LegalTech or law firm automation
- 10+ years of lending/capital markets experience
- 10+ years of business development or revenue ops experience

- You can lead an organization driven by business development and revenue ops

In the first 90-days
You will
- Raise (with Mahway support) an investment round of 2-5MM USD with a top-tier fintech VC fund in the US.
- Raise (with Mahway support) $10-15 million in debt capital for our loan portfolio.
- Finance 10 cases originated through our exclusive partnership with a national employment litigation firm.
- Create (with Mahway support) a 12-month plan and implement OKRs and an operating model.
In the first 12-months
You will
- Hire (with Mahway support) the company’s first hires. This will include legal talent, credit risk specialists, software talent, and revenue ops talent.
- Create a 36-month plan for the company, including growth & marketing, product roadmap, revenue, metrics systems, fundraising, and budget.
- Establish (with Mahway support) knowledge and productivity suites, learning loops, operating model, and OKRs.
- We will have financed 500 cases.
- Plan and kickoff improvement initiatives for valuation accuracy.
- Raise debt capital to last the company 12 months.
- Create diversity in our deal sources (expand our exclusive partnerships to double digits, prove D2C acquisition).
- Deliver web app (iPad app) for on-the-spot financing applications.
- Use AI to drive automation throughout the entire workflow of what we do
