Chief of Staff / Operations Manager

We are looking for a Chief of Staff to join our growth hacking agency with headquarters in Zurich. By taking concepts from ideation to execution, driving strategic initiatives, aligning with the company's vision, organizing key events, and optimizing internal processes, you will contribute to the overall success of the organization and foster a culture of continuous improvement and growth.

About the team

You'll be working within the growth marketing team to help us grow clients through a range of different channels. You'll work closely with the senior account managers and partners at what., and get the opportunity to collaborate with a range of specialists across channels. Our team is distributed globally, allowing you to be part of an exciting multicultural team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and Align Teams - Motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to work collaboratively toward a common goal, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Budget Management and Controlling -Manage project budgets effectively, ensuring financial targets are met, and implementing cost-saving measures when necessary.
  • Business Consulting Expertise - Utilize your extensive experience in business consulting to analyze business operations, processes, and strategies, identifying areas for improvement and developing actionable recommendations.
  • Project Coordination - Demonstrate proven success in coordinating complex projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project goals and objectives.
  • Creative Problem-Solving - Employ your nimble business mind to think innovatively and develop creative solutions to overcome operational challenges and optimize business performance.
  • Fast-Paced Environment - Thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining a strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualization and Execution - Take concepts from 0 to 1 by transforming initial ideas into actionable plans and executing them effectively, ensuring successful implementation.
  • Strategic Initiative Implementation - Drive the implementation of strategic initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of initiatives.
  • Alignment with Company Vision and Mission - Ensure that all strategic initiatives align with the company's vision and mission, contributing to the overall organizational goals and objectives.
  • Company-level OKR Collaboration - Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to define, implement, monitor, and drive delivery on company-level Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), ensuring alignment across teams and departments.
  • Key Event Organization - Organize and run key events, such as company-wide town halls and leadership offsites, with a focus on messaging and impact, ensuring effective communication and engagement throughout the organization.
  • Process Development and Improvement - Expand and develop internal processes and procedures (known as "what.OS"), actively adding new processes and working with teams to embed improvements in their work, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Productivity Optimization - Continuously seek opportunities to optimize the company's productivity by identifying and removing bottlenecks, streamlining decision-making processes, and implementing efficient workflows.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business consulting, with a specific focus on business operations, processes, and strategy.
  • Proven track record of success in a project coordination role, delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management and controlling.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on developing creative and practical solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in project management tools and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
