Position Overview:

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will support the President of ICAST in managing and communicating with the President’s direct reports. The COO will support the President with program management and ensuring processes within ICAST are being correctly implemented. An ideal candidate for COO will possess in-depth knowledge of daily operations and will be expected to quickly learn and support daily operations at ICAST.

Requirements

Must Have Qualifications:

  • 10 years’ experience in business management, for a 100+ employee firm
  • Possess strong business and technical acumen
  • 5 years managing senior staff including heads of accounting, marketing, sales, engineering, construction departments.
  • Demonstrable background/experience in Clean Energy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Carries a degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field e.g., Finance or Sciences
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and strong diplomacy skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrable experience in program management, budget management and data analysis.

Location: Remote in the U.S.A. (Preference for Denver)

Reports to: President/CEO

Skill Level: Intermediate or Advanced

Compensation: $150,000, DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communication Liaison: As the ICAST COO you will be responsible for relaying information between the President and his staff. You will provide a daily update of the organization’s activities and accomplishments to the President.
  • Measure Performance: You will provide data analysis and metrics of the company’s productivity to the President and will participate in initiatives to improve workflow, inter-departmental collaboration, and budget management.
  • Oversee daily operations: You will work on the everyday action items such as interfacing with department leaders on project coordination and business administration.
  • Prioritization of Tasks: You will assist the President in making the most of his limited availability. As such, you may attend scheduled meetings in place of the President and provide him a summary of topics covered.
  • Problem-Solving: You will identify issues, which you will communicate pertinent details of, to the President, and provide workable solutions for follow-up and direction.
