About our Team
Our team of Advanced Practice Nurses authors, updates, and annually reviews 2100+ Nursing Clinical Skills and 2500+ Patient Engagement documents and videos. We serve as specialty peer reviewers of eLearning and care plan content and work collaboratively across the Nursing, Allied Health and Patient Education teams. We ensure content alignment and makes sure that it reflects the most current and highest quality clinical evidence.
About the Role
The primary role of the Clinical Editor is to author, review, and maintain multi-media clinical content. You will support the education of healthcare professionals, patients, and families and assure the content is evidence-based, accurate, and relevant. You will also review content received from external authors and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Examples of content that you will contribute to includes patient education, clinical skills, care plans, and eLearning courses.
Engaging with cross-functional teams you will serve as the behavior/mental health expert and as a primary or secondary lead on content development projects. You will work collaboratively across content teams to help ensure there is alignment and overall consistency in tone, voice, and message.
Responsibilities
- Participating in and leading multiple projects from conceptualization to execution
- Serving as an expert resource on behavioral and mental health content
- Mentoring and informally leading cross-functional team members
- Possessing knowledge in behavioral and mental health specialty and staying abreast of changes in best/standard practice
- Reviewing, updating, and revising content based on scheduled and triggered review cycles, as well as customer needs and requests
- Acting as a resource of clinical information for non-clinical content team members, customer support, sales, product, and marketing
Requirements
- Be a Registered Nurse with unencumbered license. Have significant experience in the day-to-day care of patients treated in the area of mental and behavioral health.
- Have an MSN or with focus in behavioral health and current clinical practice experience
- Be Certified in a mental and behavioral health specialty
- Have experience in authoring/writing content; healthcare-related quality, practice and regulatory requirements; and developing education materials
- Have English writing skills with a clear concise style and excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Have an ability to work with templates using an electronic content management system
- Have ability to identify and assess evidence to determine the highest quality evidence. Be able to analyze, synthesize, and apply it when authoring, reviewing, and updating content
- Have Proficiency in a Microsoft Windows environment (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, at a minimum).
