Origen.AI develops methods for modelling, simulation and optimization of complex systems, particularly systems involving physical properties. Our revolutionary technology accelerates simulations by up to 10,000x, opening up unprecedented opportunities across many different industries.

We are based in New York (with offices in Madrid and Sevilla). This specific role will be located in Seville, with a flexible hybrid approach (some days in the office, some days remote).

What we Expect from You:

  • We are seeking a talented and experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security.
  • To engage effectively with the North American team, the working hours of this position are shifted later, finishing at 7PM.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate deployment processes, streamline operations, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Additionally, you will have the opportunity to interact with enterprise customers worldwide, providing technical support and ensuring their cloud infrastructure needs are met. Responsibilities:

  1. Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions.
  2. Collaborate with software development teams to implement and streamline CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient software delivery.
  3. Automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes using tools such as Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, and Azure.
  4. Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, ensuring consistent and reproducible deployments.
  5. Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and cost-efficiency of cloud resources.
  6. Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, including performance bottlenecks, network connectivity, and resource utilization.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements and design solutions that meet the needs of the business.
  9. Interact with customers worldwide, providing technical support and aiding them using and integrating their resources with out SaaS product.
  10. Empower our exceptional scientific team by providing them with the necessary tools to conduct groundbreaking research in the field of reservoir engineering.
  11. Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  2. Proven experience as a Cloud DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
  3. Strong proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
  4. Extensive experience with Helm and Kubernetes for container orchestration and management, preferably including working experience with GPU-enabled deployments.
  5. Solid understanding of cloud platforms, with expertise in Microsoft Azure.
  6. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
  7. Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security practices.
  8. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and automated testing frameworks. We primarily use GitHub Actions, but analogous experience in a similar technology will be considered.
  9. Extensive experience with ArgoCD for deployments in Kubernetes.
  10. Proficiency in monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Grafana Loki, and Promtail.
  11. Strong knowledge of Application Gateway configurations.
  12. Experience with cloud security audits, such as SOC2, ISO, and other relevant standards.
  13. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a timely manner.
  14. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with customers worldwide.
