Job Description
Commercial Counsel, EMEA will serve as the primary legal counsel for our EMEA business and will report to the General Counsel. The successful candidate is a self-starter, takes pride in drafting, negotiating, and closing commercial agreements, and provides strategic legal guidance to sales and business teams. You will join a creative, fast-moving, and solutions-oriented team collaborating internally within Revalize and externally with our customers and partners, and advisors. We are looking for an action-oriented commercial lawyer who can design effective and scalable commercial processes while employing an empathetic interpersonal style that can build bridges across stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate master services agreements, and work closely with our Sales organization to close revenue deals
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of other commercial agreements, including partnership agreements, reseller agreements, vendor agreements, and non-disclosure agreements
- Provide practical counsel to customer success, product, engineering, marketing, and supply teams on how to comply with contractual requirements.
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for business teams
- Keep up to date on changes to legislation, regulations, and relevant legal topics across multiple jurisdictions
- Work on ad hoc legal projects, including but not limited to, new policies, templates, and procedures
- Advise and assist with Revalize’s general legal needs as they arise
Qualifications
- Full proficiency in German and English
- 3-5 Years of legal experience
- Passion for partnering with Sales and closing revenue deals
- Experience negotiating Software/SaaS, DPAs, NDAs, strategic alliances, and channel sales agreements in English and German
- Experience in data protection and privacy-related matters
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to break down complex legal jargon into easy-to-understand and practical advice
- Roll-up your-sleeves attitude to tackle projects large and small and a collaborative, low-ego approach to collaborating across the organization
