Job Description:

The Communications Manager is an integral part of the communications team, serving in a support role across the communications function. We are a proactive, creative and nimble team that is dedicated to compelling storytelling and conveying Crowe’s value proposition to our people, our clients and our communities. Responsibilities of a Communications Manager include executing against the enterprise and business unit communications strategies for both internal and external stakeholders. In this role, you will help develop and distribute content aligned to the strategy, which may include writing stories for the Crowe intranet, drafting executive messaging, press materials, social media content, and other communiques. Additional responsibilities may include serving as the primary communications liaison to certain businesses or leaders in the firm, along with research, event support and project management.

Corporate Communications

  • Support communications leaders and help drive best-in-class internal and external communications materials ensuring that all drive a holistic and integrated Crowe Story, grounded in our purpose and values
  • Help develop communications programs to drive employee engagement and articulate strategy, strategic initiatives, change management initiatives and cultural programs
  • Support an organization structure and culture that optimizes and sustains high levels of financial performance, employee performance and corporate responsibility

Public and Media Relations

  • Help execute communications and PR strategies, including coordination and timing of external communications
  • Help develop and execute external media relations and reputation management programs to increase profile of Crowe in the market
  • Help build and foster relationships with journalists to create opportunities to profile Crowe positively in the market

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of corporate communications or PR agency experience, professional services preferred.
  • Exceptional writing and project management skills required.
  • Must work well autonomously as well as within a group.
  • Experience writing all types of content for various audiences including talking points, communications timelines, news releases, media pitches, social media posts, internal communications, etc., is required.
  • Direct experience of developing and executing communication plans and working directly with business leaders
  • Demonstrated experience working with clients to help set communications strategy and direction, with leadership traits and knowledge of reputational management.
  • Confident performing multiple ongoing projects, prioritizing tasks and demonstrating strong organization skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Experience with media relations software including Cision, PR Newswire, etc. is preferred.
  • Experience working with social media/content creation tools (Sprout Social, Canva, Camtasia, etc.) is preferred.
  • Experience working with digital tools (SharePoint, Workfront, etc.) is preferred.
  • Open to other locations, including remote.
