Community Experience Director
Description
Community Experience- Community Experience Director
Full Time, Remote
Prenda is on a mission to empower learners. We help people run microschools, where small groups of kids meet, often in a home, and own their education. The model is helping light a fire for kids like Mo (
), and we want to empower many more. Imagine a world where kids grow up as empowered learners - they choose to learn, develop their gifts, and apply their passion and grit to solve the world’s big problems!
We are looking for a Community Experience Director. This is a new role for Prenda. We tried the traditional marketing route of digital ads and sales funnels and they didn’t work. Prenda started with a community-first approach, and we’re going to reinvest deeply into community again, going back to our roots. We have been working with a community consultant (David Spinks) to design our community strategy from the ground up.
This role reports directly to the Chief Growth Officer with full visibility with the entire executive team, including the CEO/Founder Kelly Smith. You will be a part of taking our vision and making it happen through community experiments, learning, and developing roles within the community. You are someone who has successfully inspired and has been a part of building engaging communities. You understand how to build community with Prenda’s goals in mind to resolve complex issues, improve processes and find new solutions. You are regarded as an expert in your field and have strong interpersonal skills allowing you to work with internal teams and community leaders. You also understand how to translate a strategy into action and lead a team to the successful execution of the plan.
Our company is obsessed with the mission of empowering learners, we live our core values of Start with Heart, Foundation of Trust, Dare Greatly, Figure It Out, and Learning Over Comfort. We see the hearts and minds of humans as the single most important resource on Earth. All of us have unlimited capacity to solve problems, reason, inspire, create, fail, iterate, and grow. We want our community to help people understand how to help kids be active learners, leading their educational journey and teaching parents how to support them.
