JOB OVERVIEW

The Field Enablement and Go-To-Market (GTM) Team is responsible for empowering people, process, and technology initiatives of our sales teams. The Content Leader is accountable for building out the content roadmap and will have tremendous latitude and responsibility to create and maintain the external-facing client collateral for KeyBank Payments team. They will develop a deep understanding of our markets, customer needs, product functionality, industry trends, and our competitive landscape. They will deploy this knowledge as creator and contributor of thought leadership and sales content, ensuring we have a robust content pipeline and a consistent brand voice across all our GTM assets – pitch decks, videos, etc.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to concept, write and edit content including thought leadership pieces, articles, webinar content, pitch decks, email copy, testimonials, case studies and framing scripts for feature videos
  • A keen understanding of the needs, motivations, and aspirations of client audiences to tell a cohesive, engaging story from start to finish and make it their mission to find human relevance in all things
  • Work in close collaboration with Product and Sales to understand business needs and develop gold-standard content with an established brand voice and tone
  • Produce bold, strategic, persuasive messages in all executions to support content marketing initiatives
  • Knack of quickly absorbing the goal, audience, and message of initiatives, this leader will create copy that fits the need on the first try

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of proven B2B work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter, or similar role writing about business, money, or finance
  • Exceptional and concise writing and storytelling style
  • Journalistic prowess, marketing sensibilities, and an expert command of English
  • A strong record in creating immaculate copy that stands out from the crowd
  • Ability to independently research and quickly understand unfamiliar topics, issues, and technical concepts
  • Meticulous attention to detail, quality, and accuracy
  • Self-starter who thrives and can multitask in fast-paced and often ambiguous environments
  • Outstanding prioritization, organization, and interpersonal skills. A “can do” mentality is required
  • Excels in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with the ability to adapt to change quickly
  • A teamwork attitude, willing to take on extra tasks and see them through. Acute attention to detail and problem-solving skills are also necessary attributes for the role
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or English
  • A portfolio of writing/content samples required

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $75,000 to $140,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
