JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State , one of the top public universities in the country with almost 75,000 undergraduates and more than 750,000 alumni across the world, is seeking multiple Content Managers to support the marketing and communications efforts of the Office of Enrollment Management.

Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Content Manager will be responsible for:

  • Copywriting and editing content that targets prospective students and their influencers throughout the admissions recruiting cycle via email, text, web, and print
  • Gathering student-generated content for marketing purposes
  • Ensuring accuracy of Undergraduate Admissions’ messaging across channels
  • Supporting Undergraduate Admissions teams for event marketing
  • Reviewing communications sent to prospective students from University partners, including Commonwealth campuses, academic colleges, and other administrative units
  • Coordinating with the Social Media Manager to create content for use on social media
  • Supervising marketing interns
  • Participating in brainstorming and ideation sessions
  • Maintaining University brand and editorial standards
  • Performing other duties as assigned

This position has the potential to be performed fully remote or as a hybrid of remote and on-site work at Penn State University Park.

Education and experience:

This position will be filled at a level 2 or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher-level jobs.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
