Content Writer
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Growth team to do the following:
- Research assigned topics on food, education, and school nutrition
- Study and understand the company’s style of writing
- Write blog posts for the company website
- Write LinkedIn posts for the company page
- Implement SEO principles in your blog post writing
- Research online search keywords using tools such as Ahrefs to understand what language to incorporate in blog posts
- Submit error-free, grammatically correct first drafts
- Communicate with the Growth team for the editorial process and implement feedback quickly
- Create content quickly
- Use project management software (Asana) to manage content calendar
Results & Goals
What we both expect at the end of this:
Vision: Our client’s website drives significant traffic from school administrators from online search engines.
Short-Term Goal: 50 new blog posts by the end of September
- 5 new articles per week
- First drafts due early on Wednesdays
- Second iterations due by end of day on Thursdays
Long-Term Goal: Build our client into an authority in the school food space
- The scope of this role can grow to include developing and owning the content strategy overall
- Other areas around content can eventually include lifecycle marketing content for prospective leads, LinkedIn content targeted towards school administrators, our client’s future Annual School Meal Report, and more!
