Job Description
So, what will your new role look like? A Content Writer writes, develops, edits, and publishes content and copy for a variety of digital platforms, including our websites, blogs, videos, email marketing campaigns, advertising campaigns, social media posts, sales decks, whitepapers, and more.
Main Responsibilities
- Writes across a variety of content formats that speak to our personas and drive their engagement according to their state in their buying journey: awareness, interest, consideration, retention.
- Operates thorough research to be perfectly accurate and relevant, as well as consistent with our Revenue and Marketing goals.
- Translates business strategies, Go To Market initiatives and product roadmaps into tactical plans, utilizing the most appropriate content format to engage, inform and convince.
- Liaises and collaborates with colleagues from the Product & Marketing team as well as of other departments, but also customers and partners.
- Manages content projects from content ideation to the QA on the CMS, as well as the proper follow-up with the project team, the brief creation, and the request for review to the right SMEs.
- Self-and peer-edits content for spelling, grammar, tone and readability, paying close attention to detail to ensure accuracy, language, and brand consistency across all messaging.
- Identifies opportunities for innovative content pieces.
- Stays informed on competition and market trends, makes sure to follow Content Marketing metrics dashboards in order to operate changes as needed.
- Identifies opportunities for the creation of content that speaks to our personas, answers the users' needs, drives interest in our products and maximizes conversion and retention.
- Bonus point: if you have a strong product marketing experience in a B2B SaaS company.
- Bonus point: if you have experience with lean teams in a fast-paced early-stage startup environment.
A typical Week?
- Production of content for marketing, product and sales needs: 80%.
- Collaboration with peers and superiors: 20%.

- 1 Director of Marketing & Go-to-market
- 1 Digital Marketer
- 1 Designer
- 1 Content Writer (that’s you!)
- 2 Heads of Product
What Are The Newest Challenges Awaiting Your Team?
- We need to uncover promising market segments that will generate growth for our 2 new products: Softstart and Talentscope.
- We need to narrow down on the right positioning and value proposition for our persona and target market segments.
- We need to double revenue quarter over quarter and therefore scale our lead generation efforts.
Qualifications
- Min 5 years experience;
- World-class copywriting and communication skills;
- Creative thinker/problem solver able to effectively translate strategic insights into creative deliverables;
- Excels at cross-functional collaboration with product leaders, marketers, designers and other internal and external stakeholders like customers and partners;
- Organized, self-driven and autonomous individual contributor who thrives in a lean startup environment;
- Strong strategic and analytical mind able to analyze feedback and formulate data-driven strategies;
- Strong understanding of B2B SaaS landscape.
