Our company is looking for a Content Writer & Editor with entry-level experience in content writing & editing to add to our nationwide team. New Home Star is the largest privately owned seller of new homes in America. As a member of our Organizational Development team, you have the opportunity to support our corporate office and our new home builder partners to sell more homes more profitably. This position is fully remote and offers both autonomy and a flexible schedule.

Pay Structure & Benefits

  • $35,000 plus biannual bonus opportunities.
  • Fully remote work.

Requirements

New Home Star is seeking a motivated, educated, goal-oriented professional to join our team. If you fit the requirements below, you are an ideal match for this position!

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • Proficient in Canva, PowerPoint, Google Slides.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Preferred Experience - MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and on a team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a content strategy on the company's online platforms.
  • Engage with internal teams to gather market and audience insights to enhance the impact of your content strategy.
  • Collaborate with our Organizational Development team members and leaders to create presentations that educate and inform our target market.
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop and modify content, including sales, product, and executive teams.
  • Polish and edit existing training content.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends in presentations and content creation.
  • Ensure content aligns with the overall brand messaging, tone, and voice.
  • Experiment with new content formats, distribution channels, and publishing strategies to enhance engagement.
  • Produce high-quality, original, and engaging written, visual, and multimedia content.
  • Develop content calendars and schedules to ensure consistent and timely delivery of content.
