Contract Proposal Writer

Revolution Prep is seeking a Contract Proposal Writer within the Education Services division of the company. The Contract Proposal Writer role is considered a remote position and completely online. This team member will work with the retail, K12, and national partnership sales teams to successfully draft, finalize, and send contract proposals. The position is temporary and part-time. This role will report to the Director of Academic Services.

Compensation: $27/hour for approximately 20 hours per month

Responsibilities:

  • Draft contract proposals outlining the terms of an agreement, including capability statements and other stock statements describing RP’s core product lines, requirements, and policies
  • Review proposals and contracts for accuracy, making edits where necessary, and signing off on the final draft
  • Review contracts to ensure they are meeting industry standards and any relevant school or state requirements
  • Prepare contracts for signature by clients
  • Communicate with parties involved in a transaction to clarify details and ensure understanding of the contract terms
  • Prepare Request for Proposal (RFP) submissions for school districts and other organizations
  • Ensure all RFP submissions are aligned to maximize point accumulation when the RFP scoring rubric is made public
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adjust priorities as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferred major in English, journalism, or related field)
  • Experience working with contracts required
  • 3-5 years professional writing experience preferred
  • Excellent written communication skills including the ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex ideas in a manner that all parties can easily understand
  • Strong attention to detail; proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides is desired
  • Experience in the education industry preferred
  • Competence with online platforms and ability to learn new systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (including SharePoint)
  • You will need a computer and high-speed internet
  • Authorized to work in the United States (current residence must also be in the US)
