As a leader on Ford Model e’s Digital Product Design Team, you'll be at the heart of creating that future. You’ll also be designing/working at scale. Every day, Ford’s vehicles and services support millions of people around the world. What you’ll be able to do:

Work with leadership across Digital Product Design (DPD) to establish and codify the “Voice & Tone” of the Ford and Lincoln brands

Define and guide standards for copy and content including the development of the copy guidelines for DPD Team

Work with design and research teams to identify a copy and content development approach and methods throughout the Digital Design process

Mentor and manage copy writers, from expressive to functional, across the Digital Product Design team

Work across teams to steward excellent copy and content deliverables

Push and inspire the teams in their use of copy and content for Ford Model e

Participate in copy and design reviews, providing guidance, coaching and constructive feedback in service of delivering world-class products and experiences

Maintain constant awareness of emerging talent needs in the craft of copy and content to ensure we are fulfilling those needs

Manage communication with internal colleagues and stakeholders

Invest in the growth of teams’ copy and content capabilities by supporting the learning and development of the team

The minimum requirements we seek:

Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing, English, Sociology or related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience

10+ years’ experience developing strategically driven copy and content for consumer-facing brands/products and services

10+ years’ experience leading highly collaborative creative teams, working with Product Design, Research and similar teams.

Our preferred qualifications :

Master's degree in Creative Writing, English, Sociology or related field

Experience of utilizing design thinking and/or human-centered design

Passionate about brand and digital product design

Extensive experience developing copy and content strategy for key touch points across the customer journey

Extensive experience developing brand guidelines and/or standards, specifically for “Voice & Tone” applications

Experience of developing digital services and bringing products or services to market

Experience mentoring and managing other in the creative writing field

Experience designing and facilitating group collaboration workshops

Experience teaching copy and content principles, tools and methods

Passionate about automotive and transportation industry

Extremely strong verbal, written and presentation skills
