Position Overview
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, savvy Copy Editor to be an integral part of our content team! You will work with a team of writers and editors to ensure the highest quality and efficiency of content publishing across our portfolio of properties, which support the business and products that we offer. You’ll be relentless in your pursuit of accuracy, clarity, and a superlative user experience, while removing roadblocks for our editors and pushing for efficient turnaround.

What you'll do
- Copyedit 40-50 articles per week, graphics and other visual elements, templates, ebooks, etc.
- Review and revise content for accuracy and quality, including spelling, grammar, punctuation and syntax
- Fact-checking: Verify the accuracy of statistics and references used in the content, ensuring that all claims are supported by reliable sources and are properly cited
- Ensure that all headlines, captions, and other copy meet editorial standards.
- Spot checking live articles on the site
- Interact with freelancers, in-house writers and editors to optimize communication and ensure high standards across the board
- Ensure that content adheres to the in-house style guides
- Stay tuned in to trending issues that writers are having around copy edits so we can develop more target training
- Stay abreast of the latest media trends and content best practices & help establish new guidelines for the style guide
- Manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines
- Collaborate with Audience Development, Sales Enablement, Marketing and Operations Teams to support their content creation needs and ensure consistency of messaging across the company
- Load into content management systems,check that links work, etc.
Who you are
- A bachelor’s degree in English or a related field
- Thorough, passionate, creative, resourceful, and proactive editor with an insatiable curiosity to learn about the latest trends in business technology and translate them for a busy audience.
- A self-starter: somebody who has a positive attitude and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves, and get some work done
- Can go from novice to expert level on a given topic with efficient, targeted research
- Cares deeply about the quality of experience for readers of your publication
- 2 years minimum copy editing experience for a technical audience, ideally with a B2B focus
- Has a keen eye for detail
- Self-motivated and able to manage your time to meet deadlines and KPIs
- Open to feedback, and know how to apply it effectively for change
- Comfortable working in a startup environment where things change quickly
- Knowledge of Associated Press
- Able to manage multiple priorities
- Experience copy editing for a website, preferred
- SEO knowledge, preferred
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and visual
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- High attention to detail to ensure content is thoroughly fact-checked and accurate
- Must have a working laptop/pc and internet and back-up connection
- Agile professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and thrives on continuously pivoting strategies to drive business needs forward

Salary Range
TechnologyAdvice seeks to hire top-tier individuals across the world and intends for our compensation to be at a rate that allows us to recruit and retain individuals who align with our core values, purpose, mission, and vision.
Final total compensation is based on a multitude of factors including, but not limited to, skill level, relevant experience to the position, and cost of labor.
Monthly Pay Range
₱35,000—₱48,000 PHP
