Copywriter - Content Marketing

The Copywriter – Content Marketing will play a critical role in executing specialty content that contributes to marketing materials, sales support, brand awareness, and revenue generation. As an individual contributor in the Corporate Marketing department, this position receives guidance from their manager about the work that needs to be completed.

In both quality and quantity, this role requires a person with exceptional writing and editing skills. You will have ample opportunities to collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts, strategically shaping their insights into an array of effective B2B content types (e.g., white papers, web copy, blog posts, case studies, video scripts, email, social media, event support, etc.). The content you help create will be used to expand our digital footprint in a consistent and conversational brand voice.

  • Write original content — long- and short-form — that engages and educates an identified audience (in formats including but not limited to white papers, web copy, video scripts, case studies, blog posts, emails, brochures, and solution briefs)
  • Collaborate with the team members on content development and ongoing optimization
  • Serve as an expert on brand voice and resource for editorial excellence — supporting multiple levels of the organization: company, segment, business unit, and service line
  • Follow established workflows for the lifecycle of content marketing programs, including: creation, review, approval, distribution, analysis, optimization, and archival
  • Proofread/Edit content to ensure it is consistent in terms of style/voice and SEO best practices
  • Interview internal and external subject matter experts
  • As a function of copywriting, do independent research on market trends, best practices, competitors, etc. to differentiate the RRD perspective and build out content
  • Create concepts that are extendable into campaigns and synchronize extensions with other marketing channels
  • Drive multiple, simultaneous content-related projects in a results-focused environment
  • Continuously improve the process to discover efficiencies and make recommendations within the department

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of B2B marketing writing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, focus in marketing or business preferred OR demonstrated ability to meet job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience
  • Exceptional editing and proofreading skills
  • Experienced in writing content targeted to business decision-makers
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • High sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in an autonomous fashion
  • Display a clear understanding of high-quality vs. low-quality sources
  • Proficiency in web-based tools, preference for experience in Google Suite
  • Must possess a conversational and concise writing style
  • Capacity to multitask, prioritize, and move between multiple projects and deliverables
  • Skilled at communicating with individuals at multiple levels of an organization
  • Writing samples must be made available upon request
