Background: Pitch Labs is a 501(c)3 non-profit that is taking strides to change the face of entrepreneurship. As it stands right now, obtaining entrepreneurial knowledge can be expensive and seems only available to limited amounts of people. However, millions of entrepreneurs worldwide know that they can make innovations that will change and shape society forever. Pitch Labs is helping entrepreneurs unlock the resources they need by creating a free online library, hosting virtual events, and opening clubs in schools to allow entrepreneurs to unlock their skills and do what they are meant to do: create!

How this role ties into our mission: We have a vision, we have a platform, but we need a stronger social media presence to help place a spotlight on our resources. Business reaches every single industry and profession in the world, and that means we can relate to everyone in some way, but we need to create interesting content to do so. We welcome new and veteran marketing copywriters who want to learn through research and exploration. All we are looking for in individuals is a desire to help others by promoting the sharing of information in non-mediocre/creative, memorable ways. We want our social media posts to relate to world events and also have valuable business lessons.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be U.S based and speak professional/native level English as well as have strong writing skills including spelling and grammar.
  • Capable of understanding marketing principles towards creating content that supports Pitch Labs Marketing objectives and resonates with target audience
  • Has academic or professional experience in terms of researching market trends, target audience, and competitors.
  • Ability to respond to messaging/emails within 24 hours and flexibility to meet with the team on a weekly basis

Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative and engaging written content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to captions, posts, tweets, and responses, while maintaining the brand’s tone and style.
  • Conduct research to understand the target audience, their preferences, and behaviors on social media in order to tailor content that resonates with the audience and increases engagement.
  • Stay current with social media trends, hashtags, and platform algorithm changes to capitalize on opportunities for increased visibility and reach.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and graphic designers to ensure content aligns with overall marketing and branding strategies and meets campaign goals.
  • Monitor the performance of social media content using analytics tools and adjust strategies accordingly to improve engagement, reach, and conversion rates. Provide regular reports and insights to inform future content decisions.

Time Commitment: THIS IS AN UNPAID, REMOTE #WFH VOLUNTEER POSITION. Although this is a volunteer role, given our startup-like functioning, we only seek active volunteers who are energized, ready to engage and make an impact.

Please be prepared to contribute at least 5 hours a week for at least the next 6 months. As we invest heavily in training each volunteer, we humbly request that if you are unable to meet this time commitment. All volunteers must attend their department’s team meeting or 1-1 meeting every week. We enforce a 24 hour response policy to promote a smooth workflow and mindfulness towards ongoing projects/deadlines that team members are working on.

We are able to accommodate volunteers who need time off for exams, work, family events, etc as long as these commitments are appropriately conveyed as soon as possible.
