POSITION PURPOSE:

As Corporate Counsel, you will be a part of the Legal team providing legal support for various legal matters with primary responsibilities for compliance efforts across the organization. The Corporate Counsel will be responsible for implementation and continuous improvement of policies and requirements related to compliance, enterprise risk management, data privacy and other laws and regulations governing a publicly traded technology company. You will have the opportunity to implement, maintain, and improve policies, procedures, and internal controls to assure compliance with applicable regulatory and legal requirements as well as best practices.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide legal support in all areas of the law with specific emphasis on compliance and contracts;
  • Lead Enterprise Risk Management Assessment and develop and implement the appropriate policies;
  • Understand and ensure compliance related to contracts, insurance, information security and data governance;
  • Lead in the development and publishing of compliance related policies and documents;
  • Supports the design and development of compliance awareness, training, and education for all levels of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree; 
  • Law degree from an accredited law school;
  • 2-4 years of professional legal experience;
  • Professional experience conducting legal research, reviewing contracts, reviewing and drafting enterprise policies, and coordinating compliance activities;
  • Ability to work with third party vendors to complete assessments and compliance projects as required;
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with legal, technology, audit, and finance personnel at many levels;
  • Consensus builder, with results-oriented commitment;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (English);
  • Excellent organization skills;
  • Strong attention to detail.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position which is not inclusive of bonuses, benefits or other forms of compensation that the position may be eligible for. If you are hired at Cars Commerce, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills and/or experience. If the salary range is close to what you're seeking, then we encourage you to apply and learn more about the total compensation package for this position.

Salary Range

$87,300—$107,000 USD
