Corporate Development Manager

We’re looking for a Corporate Development Manager to help us drive forward our company’s strategy & product roadmap through the use of inorganic transactions. This includes sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and executing acquisitions and strategic investment opportunities. In this role, you will collaborate with senior executives and business unit leaders on our company-wide corporate strategy, develop deal theses on emerging markets, propose M&A and investment ideas, and work closely with product & engineering teams to evaluate potential acquisition targets. You will help quarterback the investment and M&A process, working closely with functional leaders across finance, legal, go-to-market, tax and HR to build financial models, drive due diligence, and develop internal investment memos & presentations.

- Our cash compensation amount for this role ranges from $130,000 - $178,000 for most US locations and $144,000 - $198,000 for US locations with a higher cost of labor. All figures cited above are in $USD and pertain to workers located in the United States. Pay is based on several factors including market location, and may vary depending on job related experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills.

As a Corporate Development Manager, you’ll …
- Drive the execution and integration of acquisitions & strategic investments, including sourcing opportunities, assembling market landscapes, competitive analysis and research, performing financial analysis, and coordinating all aspects of due diligence in partnership with senior team members
- Establish a robust understanding of new markets, industry trends, competitive positioning, and emerging companies relevant to Webflow
- Partner with business unit leaders on strategy development, including identifying product gaps, evaluating build / buy / partner options, and collaborating on target selection criteria as well as the evaluating of inbound M&A opportunities
- Contribute to improving the corporate development team by enhancing existing processes and frameworks
- Interface regularly with external partners like investment bankers, venture capitalists, and founders

About you
You’ll thrive as a Corporate Development Manager if you:
- Have 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience, including investment banking, venture capital, private equity, strategy consulting, or corporate development experience
- It’s a plus if you have an undergraduate degree from a top-tier university in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or similar discipline
- MBA, CPA or CFA is desirable
- Good understanding of enterprise software and the industries in which Webflow competes
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to craft investment memos and presentations
- Intellectual curiosity and strong analytical, problem-solving skills, along with experience in building financial or decision-support models
- Ability to collaborate across a wide-range of teams and manage complex projects, workstreams, and other priorities under pressure while maintaining high attention to detail
