Corporate/Commercial Lawyer

Virtuozzo delivers a virtual infrastructure platform that enables service providers and enterprises to leverage containers, virtual machines, and software-defined storage with backups, image management, and automation tools — all in a single solution.Virtuozzo is a fast-growing business and now we are looking for a Lawyer in UK for its international Legal Department team to work remotely.
- Lead, structure, draft and negotiate customer transactions in a fast-paced corporate environment, including: master services agreements, reseller and distribution agreements, statements of work, service level agreements, licensing agreements, SaaS agreements, data transfer agreements, data processing amendments, agreements involving cloud computing services;
- Deliver clear practical advice that enables our business partners to achieve their objectives while mitigating legal risk and keeping the interests of our community at the forefront;
- Take part in structuring, negotiating and preparing M&A and other commercial transactions, including acquisitions, due diligence etc.;
- Support, promote and implement Legal Department initiatives;
- Provide effective, business-focused, day-to-day advice to all our business teams on a broad range of issues, including UK, EU and regulatory compliance, commercial, corporate, litigation, e-commerce laws, intellectual property, privacy and tax;
- Effectively collaborate with colleagues in EMEA and around the world to provide globally aligned legal advice;
- Proactively work to draft, review and revise internal processes, policies and workflows;
- Instruct outside counsel where appropriate and supervise the provision of cost-effective, business-orientated legal advice;
Requirements
- Well-honed organizational and analytical skills;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Intellectually curious, open-minded, adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity and risk, and excited by dynamic change;
- Comfortable dealing with fluid regulatory landscape; capable of identifying areas of risk and opportunity as the law develops;
- Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously while prioritizing competing tasks in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- An interest in the issues and trends affecting the wider IT and technology sector;
- Degree in UK Law with a strong academic record and/or demonstrated record of success as a lawyer;
- Strong knowledge of business and international law, IT IP law, data privacy regulation in UK and EU;
- LL.M with IP/IT focus is an advantage;
- A minimum of couple years PQE with relevant experience in an international or strong regional law firm and/or international technology company;
- Authorised and licensed to practice law in UK.
