We’re looking for

A Creative Director to provide aesthetic leadership across the company through masterful execution of visual storytelling, design, marketing creative, brand expression, and product UX. The Getmyboat Creative Director reports to the Chief Product Officer and is a senior leadership player-coach who provides a new benchmark for excellence in winning the hearts and minds of our audience. You will produce work both individually and as a director of projects and resources to achieve the highest quality and impact for Getmyboat’s mission. This position is remote and can be located anywhere in North America.

What you’ll do:

  • Own brand creative, externally and internally.
  • Execute and guide creative production in collaboration with external and internal resources.
  • Oversee and produce marketing creative, advertising, product UX, and internal communication from a brand expression perspective.
  • Develop and refine assets for illustration, photography, video, animation, copy, and any other formats as appropriate.
  • Manage budget and business operations for brand creative.
  • This role may require some travel from time to time, but not on a regular basis.

Your craft (who you are):

  • At least ten years of relevant experience, with two or more years as a creative director in an agency or corporate setting.
  • Experience in creating marketing/advertising campaigns — from developing the vision and messaging platform to overseeing production on time and within budget.
  • Experience in creating integrated content across all marketing channels: digital, social media, paid media, mobile, offline, and print.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the theory and practice of the work.
  • Proficiency in leading a team of diverse, talented creatives.
  • Strong creative vision, with an eye on business objectives.
  • Experience in branding innovative tech startups.
  • Deep expertise in the craft and execution of powerful visual media.
  • Brilliant interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise and world-class leadership in brand development and multichannel marketing.

Bonus points:

  • Adjacent creative and/or marine industry talents or interests.
  • Experience in similar industries (tech startups, travel, leisure, boating, outdoor brands).
