Cyber Scenario Engineer

Join a leading team creating hands-on cybersecurity scenarios (labs) for current and future cybersecurity professionals. Our team’s mission is to prepare cybersecurity professionals and bring the cybersecurity profession within reach of anyone through immersive scenarios containing modern day enterprise infrastructure, vulnerabilities, and attacker TTPs. We are looking for a high energy and dynamic Cyber Scenario Engineer with a broad and deep understanding of cybersecurity. This position is 100% remote in North America.

About the Role
We are looking for a Cyber Scenario Engineer to join our Project Ares team. In this role, you support the research, design, and development of hands-on scenarios based on the latest technologies, vulnerabilities, safeguards, and threats.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in a cybersecurity work role with network engineering, systems administration, and scripting experience. Defensive and offensive cybersecurity knowledge, an understanding of building virtual environments, and the ability to conduct research and development is key to the success of this role.
What you’ll do
· Lead the maintenance and expansion of our immersion scenarios
· Build and validate virtual environments based on real-world enterprise networks
· Research the latest technologies, threats, and safeguards related to cybersecurity
· Draft player objectives, guidance, and measures of performance to accomplish cybersecurity tasks
· Have fun and collaborate with peers to make a significant impact to cybersecurity on a global scale
What you’ll need
· Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, network engineering, systems administration, or a related role
· Passion for cybersecurity and solving challenges
· Capable of working individually or as part of a team
· Experience with Windows, Linux, and networking devices
What would set you apart, but not required
· Experience with cloud-based IaaS, Azure preferred
· Experience with scripting languages, Python or PowerShell preferred
· Familiarity with red team and penetration testing best practices
The benefits of working at Circadence
Compensation negotiable, depending on level of experience - $110k - $120k.
