Deloitte Discovery provides a comprehensive suite of legal management consulting, information governance, contract lifecycle managementand technology-enabled services to our clients. Our professionals bring domain knowledge, industry experience, and technology capabilities to provide strategic, proactive approaches supporting the future of applied information governance and management in support of client legal, compliance and information technology departments.

Deloitte Discovery's U.S. operations is comprised of the following services:

  • Data Management
  • Legal Business Services
  • eDiscovery Services

Work you'll do:

You will work directly with the Deloitte Discovery Data Management team, cross-functional client stakeholders, and outside counsel to solve complex data issues. You will liaise with other Deloitte Discovery services and Deloitte service areas, and at times work on projects driven by these services (agility is a plus). This work can take place directly at the client site or may be performed remotely from your home office or at our innovative Electronic Discovery Solutions Center ('EDSC') in Hermitage Tennessee. Here are just some to the things you will be doing:

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities on client engagements
  • Compile findings and recommendations and implementation plans
  • Prepare and present oral and written reports and presentations
  • Define resource requirements and project budgets
  • Handle billing and collections
  • Supervise and train consultants and senior consultants
  • Experience in leading and training teams
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and ensure client satisfaction
  • Network to identify and sell potential new services or expand existing engagements
  • Participate in RFP responses, engagement letters (EL) and Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Participate in industry conferences and tradeshows and author articles
  • Participate in initiatives to improve the capabilities of the practice
  • Think through and provide the solutions to the Client problems

The Ideal candidate will have a professional demeanor and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Qualifications

Required

  • 6+ years of Consulting experience (Forensics, or e-Discovery or Information Governance or Content Archiving or Data Analytics)
  • Working understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and/or file systems (NTFS, FAT32, EXT, APFS, HFS+)
  • Experienced with business processes mapping and optimization
  • Balance multiple client projects and other responsibilities
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and properly delegate work
  • Demonstrated ability to provide business consulting services and lead client presentations
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred

  • MBA or Business degree with concentration in Information systems or Computer Science
  • Experience manipulating large data sets and with data visualization programs (i.e., Tableau, Kibana)
  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML)
  • Understanding of information governance (IG) and document retention
  • Ability to describe complex technical concepts and ideas in non-technical terms
  • Ability to provide strategy and operations design and implementation services
  • Experience in professional services firm preferred
  • Understanding of e-Discovery processes and tools and systems
  • Experience with regulatory archiving, WORM, and SEC 17a3&4 regulations
  • Experience with cloud-based services in AWS. or Azure, or GCP
  • Experience in Programming (Python or PowerShell or R or JavaScript)

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Jersey City and California, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Jersey City and California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $128,235 - $213,725

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
