Design Manager
You're a system-oriented Design Manager passionate about creating intuitive, engaging, and impactful user experiences. We’re EngagedMD and we have a patient journey application used by more than 2 million users nationwide and internationally since its launch. We continue to see enormous growth and adoption from medical clinics across multiple markets. This is an exciting opportunity to join us in our mission to help carers carry on caring. You will have the opportunity to lead and shape our design team, building the processes and systems that drive the evolution of our product's user experience. You'll make a significant impact on patient care by enhancing the usability and accessibility of our platform.
This fully remote role reports to our Vice President of Product and candidates are required to reside in the United States. This role requires legal authorization to work in the United States. EngagedMD is unable to sponsor current H1B visa holders for this role.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a small team of talented UI/UX designers, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing team environment
- Build and maintain a scalable design system, enabling front-end software engineering teams to maintain consistency throughout the EngagedMD platform
- Strategize and execute the overall design vision and direction for the EngagedMD platform, ensuring a cohesive user experience across all product offerings
- Drive improved design outcomes through both individual contributions and developing the talents of other design team members
- Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to define product requirements, create design solutions, and deliver high-quality user experiences
- Implement design processes and tools that enhance collaboration and efficiency within the team and across the organization
- Champion user-centric design principles and best practices within the organization, ensuring that user needs and behaviors are at the forefront of product strategy and development
What You’ll Bring
- 8+ years of experience in UX / UI /Product Design with 2+ years of experience in people leadership
- Expertise with UX design and prototyping tools (we primarily use Figma and Miro) and an understanding of front-end development technologies
- Proven experience leading design teams, building out successful design systems, and delivering compelling software solutions
- A portfolio that demonstrates expertise in digital product design, user experience, and visual communication
- Strong leadership and communication skills and ability to articulate design vision and strategy to diverse stakeholders and team members
- A mission-driven orientation to all you do
- Ability to thrive in a small, fast-paced organization
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent career experience
It’s Also Nice If You…
- Have at least a passing familiarity with the fertility industry and/or experience in healthtech with a focus on patient journey software
- Have successfully worked remotely with distributed teams in the past
