About This Opportunity
InComm Incentives is seeking a DevOps Engineer I to complement our team. Our mission is to build and implement tools and infrastructure improvements that enable quick, easy, safe delivery and operation of microservices, web applications and other backend processes. Our team utilizes the Microsoft technology stack, leveraging ASP.NET, SQL Server, .NET Code and .NET Frameworks using C#. We frequently explore new technologies and the latest developments in DevOps and CI/CD patterns, practices, and tools. We strive for continuous improvement in all areas through regular retrospectives and process reviews.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with complexity, uncertainty, and be able to clarify problems and provide creative solutions using an iterative development approach. We will be looking for someone looking to enter the DevOps field from a Development, Infrastructure or Support background. There are Sr Engineers on the team who will help with knowledge and mentoring and helping the candidate gain experience in the DevOps field.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and integrate legacy monolith applications as well as microservice applications leveraging modern distributed system technologies.
- Automate the entire delivery pipeline including release of all assets, configuration changes, environment provisioning, and production health monitoring/alerting.
- Evaluate and implement tools/frameworks/services to support configuration management and CI/CD.
- Develop scalable platform infrastructure and tooling to support our stored value delivery platform.
- Maintain and implement the necessary security processes for our code, platform, and tools.
- Document processes and workflows.
- Write change tickets for and change templates for work being deployed.
Qualifications
Success in this role will require some software systems engineering and/or infrastructure engineering experience, with exposure to the following:
- Orchestrating microservices, including cluster management, scaling, resiliency, and performance.
- Infrastructure as code.
- Distributed system architecture, including networking, API gateways, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Private key infrastructure.
- Continuous integration systems and environments.
- Multiple programming and/or scripting languages and paradigms (familiarity with many and expertise in one or more).
- Cloud architecture and operations.
- Network security.
