Technically, you:
- Pick up new technology and switch between tech stacks with a minimum of fuss
- Are comfortable working on cloud-based infrastructure components such as networking, load balancers, servers, access lists, databases, storage, etc.
- Have worked on agile teams to deliver software iteratively
At a minimum, you
- Have a BS in an engineering field OR can make us feel intensely confident that you don’t need one
- Have 2+ years of development and/or operations experience
- Have a demonstrable working understanding of at least one cloud hosting platform
- Have a demonstrable understanding of troubleshooting application level issues and following the trail to the source
- Have a demonstrable working understanding of infrastructure-as-code software, with a preference for Terraform
- Possess written and oral communication skills in order to be a good partner to our dev team
It would be nice if you:
- Have experience with Kubernetes and Docker
- Have experience with Jenkins Pipeline or GitHub Actions
- Have experience with Snowflake
- Can identify manual processes that can be automated...and then automate them!
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
