Position Summary

The DevOps Engineer at Consumer Edge will join our Tooling and DevOps team and be responsible for contributing to companywide infrastructure initiatives. Given the small size of the current Tooling and DevOps team, you will play a large role in helping this team grow in terms of scope and responsibility. You will play a vital role in planning the direction of and executing on our future infrastructure. You will be integrated into a highly talented development team focused on building and maintaining the platform to support our growth and scale both in terms of users and features. This role will report to the Director of Data Engineering.  

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, support monitoring systems for both applications and data quality
  • Develop, support CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Cloudbuild, Github Actions, Argo)
  • Develop, support artifact management (e.g., Docker images, Python wheels)
  • Support developer tooling for multiple engineering teams across a range of platforms (e.g., Python, PHP)
  • Evangelize Infrastructure as Code across engineering teams (e.g., Pulumi)
  • Champion best practices for cloud infrastructure in both GCP and AWS
  • Review code across teams and mentor junior developers
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in infrastructure engineering, automation, and DevOps

What You’ll Have

  • 4+ years relevant experience in DevOps and Cloud Infrastrucutre
  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud Native technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • 3+ years with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) experience
  • Experience building and managing infrastructure for big data web applications, APIs
  • Experience with developing Infrastructure as Code such as Pulumi and Terraform
  • Experience with CI/CD systems such as Github Actions and Argo
  • Experience in developing automated tests

Nice To Have

  • Experience with analytical or column-store databases (e.g., Clickhouse, Redshift, BigQuery)
  • Experience in service/mesh networking (Istio, sidecar proxies, etc.)
  • Experience with IAM Administration/Permissions Management (Specifically GCP)
  • Experience working on DevSecOps/Security Eng
  • Experience in a small team/start up environment

  • Salary Range: 130,000-150,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Commission
