Devops Engineer

High Tech Genesis is looking for a DevOps Engineer with solid experience on the “Dev” side (i.e. strong build experience, preferably in Golang). You will be supporting and working with a development team of over 300 software engineers. The build environment is large and complex, with over 400 repositories and 200 microservices.
Your responsibilities include:
• Support the product build (mostly Golang, but with some Java)
• Create python automation to help fulfill team requests to expose certain data from the build system
• This role requires proficiency in Python, Groovy, along with experience using Jenkins for CI/CD.
• Design and create CI/CD pipelines with security and compliance built-in
• Ensure the pipeline performance, availability and reliability meets SLAs
• Assist in effectively collaborating with several groups to identify key requirements and prioritizations for CI/CD solutions
• Create code and provide operational support for the CI/CD infrastructure
• Design and develop automation tools to enable safe and secure deployments to staging and production Cloud environments
• Contribute to the planning and prioritizing of tasks within the group to support the needs of fast paced development teams
• Research and implement new technologies and processes as they become available with the goal of learning and improving service quality
Required skills and experience:
• Strong Python
• Strong Groovy
• Strong Jenkins
• Strong Github or other source code repositories
• 8+ years of expertise software development experience with a focus on continuous delivery and deployment of enterprise applications
• Experience with Golang builds
• Software programming experience Java, or Golang
• Solid knowledge of concepts, data structures and algorithms
• Strong experience working on CI pipelines and complex build systems
• Expertise in Linux machine management
• Expertise in working with Dockers, Kubernetes environments
• Strong analytical and debugging skills
