DevOps Engineer
The Role
Hopstack is an advanced SaaS (Software-as-a-service) platform to automate and digitize warehouses and fulfillment centers. Unlike the traditional ERP and WMS that only serve as an order receiving and final fulfillment system, Hopstack's digital warehouse closes the operational visibility and execution control gap between an ERP and a WMS. The digital warehouse platform provides out-of-the-box warehouse hardware and software integrations and customizable operational workflows (such as receiving, putting, picking, packing, sorting, and shipping), acting as a single point of control for all warehouse operations with intelligent control and execution.
Responsibilities:
- Straddle both coding and operations.
- Building and setting up infrastructure.
- Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline.
- Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
- Develop and improve systems for monitoring, alerting and analysis to ensure site health
- Perform root cause analysis for production errors
- Investigate and resolve technical issues
- Work closely with engineering professionals within the company to maintain hardware and software needed for projects to be completed efficiently.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
- Outstanding skills with IAC viz. Terraform
- Experience working in containerized infrastructure within AWS
- Experience with automation and maintenance of CICD pipelines ( we use Github actions)
- Experience with microservices based architecture
- Strong scripting Experience eg: Bash, Python etc
- Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services
- Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
- Problem-solving attitude
- Collaborative team spirit
Bonus Skills
- Clear communicator with both technical and less technical stakeholders (verbally and in writing).
- DevOps: Kubernetes, Helm
- Strong aptitude in a full blown programming language
