DevOps Engineer
Job purpose:
You will work with and influence multiple teams, including development, production support, business teams, and other technical and non-technical teams within Kabam. Your goal is to ensure an efficient, reliable process from development to production to allow our business teams to continue to provide the greatest customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions using cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to ensure 99.99% uptime for a system averaging > 100 requests per second
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to manage and provision infrastructure programmatically.
- Set up and manage monitoring and logging solutions to track system performance, detect issues, and ensure high availability.
- Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard systems and data, including managing access controls, encryption, and vulnerability assessments that comply with ISO 27001
- Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to understand their needs and ensure that infrastructure and processes support their objectives.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance system performance and reliability.
What do we look out for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in devops on cloud platforms, deploying & maintaining containerized applications for applications averaging > 100 requests per second
- Proficient with AWS and all its core services
- Expert with Kubernetes & Docker
- Proficient with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, Bitbucket Pipelines
- Proficient in IAC using Terraform & Ansible
- Proficient in scripting with python or shell scripts
- Experienced with monitoring & log management tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafan
