DevOps Engineer
SystemOne is looking for a DevOps engineer who can be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet our customers’ needs. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering and be familiar with the programming languages and integration tools listed below, and will work with developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended. The DevOps engineer will also help plan projects and be involved in project management decisions. We use agile methodologies to develop our distributed diagnostic data network platform. Our small team is global and committed to ending the spread of infectious disease.
Objectives of this role
- Building and implementing automation tools and infrastructure for software deployments, network and server management, and security
- Ensuring that our networks are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes
- Working with developers and engineers to ensure that our SAAS platform works
- Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions
Responsibilities
- Deploy updates and fixes, and provide technical support
- Build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve customer experience
- Use tools to integrate our platform with 3rd party services and systems used by our customers
- Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
- Develop manage automated systems for deployment, security management
Required skills and qualifications
- Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role
- Experience supporting AWS EC2 linux instances, and on-premise servers
- Good knowledge of RESTful API integrations
- Working knowledge of databases and MySQL
- Experience with Shell Scripting and Python
- Experience with Ansible
- Experience with IaC tools / Terraform
- Collaborative team spirit
- 5-10 years experience in tech
