Telicent is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about automation, cloud technologies and ensuring smooth and efficient software delivery, we want to hear from you.

Key responsibilities:

Containerisation:

  • Containerizing workloads using Docker and other container build tools.
  • Implement and manage Kubernetes processes and deployments, ensuring efficient container orchestration and scalability.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

  • Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using Terraform for provisioning and configuration.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to define IaC best practices and standards.

AWS Cloud Management:

  • Manage and optimize AWS resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and scalability.
  • Implement and maintain AWS services, including EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, Lambda, and others.

Security:

  • Implement security best practices using DevSecOps principles such as Infrastructure-as-code scanning, static code analysis, and security automation.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with development and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement DevOps best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues, working closely with application development teams and data scientists.

Job requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a DevOps role with a focus on AWS, Terraform and Docker (ideally with Kubernetes).
  • Proficient in AWS services and management.
  • Strong experience with Terraform for IaC, with CloudFormation as a nice to have.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
  • Experience with version control systems, especially GitHub.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to document processes and share knowledge with the team.

Desired but not required:

  • Certification in AWS or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with Kafka.

Candidates must be UK-based. Salary dependent on experience.
