Job Purpose:

Markets Operations Technology team is looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer with experience in leading DevOps and Infrastructure team for our firm strategic distributed Data Processing platform. Person in this role will be responsible for upgrading and defining the DevOps Processes and Infrastructure support in line with CITI’s Development and Infrastructure Maturity Models to support current and future requirements of a critical initiative involving central data processing platform to house critical transactional data from multiple business processes and asset classes and make the data available over Enterprise Search Engines and Data Fabric.

  • This is a Vice President role within the ICG Markets Tech team. You will be the Lead DevOps Engineer responsible for leading the DevOps team of 10 to upgrade, design and maintain the DevOps framework to support multiple applications within our firm strategic central data processing platform involving high volume transactional real-time data and high volume API traffic as Search Engine capabilities thereof.
  • This is a highly visible role for a key initiative wherein you would get opportunity to work on diverse infrastructure and continuously evolving technologies across middleware and backend, interact with many teams and stakeholders at senior level

  • You will also get the opportunity to liaise with key technology and product vendor partners across Markets Operations and Tech, and liaise with the Citi Technology Teams which would include several SaaS offerings and Hardware teams and also interact with the Technology Experts of different Product Vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete Ownership & Responsibility for DevOps framework catering to 10+ applications within our High Volume Data Processing Platform.
  • Work closely with technology teams to ensure that the DevOps processes are robust and continuously upgraded to be inline with CITI’s various maturity models.
  • Provide thought leadership on how to enhance and improve the DevOps processes and Frameworks.
  • Troubleshooting Infrastructure Issue and bottlenecks along with Technology Teams.
  • Setting up Monitoring and Health check of different server and infrastructure components.
  • Provide continuous guidance to the DevOps teams on best practice, application integrations, system performance tests.
  • End-End management of ServiceNow SLTNs for provisioning and setup of new Hardware and Software.
  • Continuous Collaboration and co-ordination with teams spread across geography.
  • Lead a culture of innovation & experimentation, support full software lifecycle that incorporates the best of technology approaches & delivery methodologies
  • Manage team of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for the team
  • Actively participate in brainstorming session with Technical Manager and other Senior Management groups and provide solid inputs to the team and ensure best practices are followed within the team.

Qualification and Skills:

  • 10+ years of working as a Hands-On DevOps leader working on complex Realtime, Distributed, High Volume, Event Processing systems in a large organization, structuring, establishing, and leading multiple product-centric DevOps teams
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • Proven expertise in Leading DevOps Teams in complex high volume data processing systems.
  • Exceptional communicator who loves working with people, confident communicating at all levels from an individual team to the entire enterprise
  • 5+ years’ experience in UDeploy, Teamcity, Jenkins and other build and CICD tools and pipelines.
  • 5+ years’ experience in working with Docker/Openshift container based deployments.
  • Experience working in complex Software Installation and setups in Linux environment.
  • Experience working in Linux based systems is required.
  • 5+ years Experience working monitoring tools like ITRS, AppDynamics, Kibana is must.
  • Experience with Openshift/Docker container based deployments is required.
  • Ability to debug and solve complex system issues in live production environment in the above mentioned technologies is a must
