As a Copywriter for Global Digital Design (based at Converse WHQ in Boston), you will be adept at conveying compelling and effective product stories across the digital ecosystem with a focus on e-commerce on converse.com and performance marketing. We need someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, a collaborative attitude, and a desire to write the playbook as we go. The work will be challenging, never boring, and we expect you’ll be an integral part of the creative team bringing new digital experiences and solutions to the Converse brand.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • In collaboration with Senior Copy Manager, Design team, Copywriting team, Experience Strategists & Operations team, develops and creates innovative solutions for digital product storytelling across, but not limited to, converse.com and all digital touchpoints
  • Tell compelling product stories through copy, partnering with digital designers, to tell stories for converse.com, email, paid media channels, sell-in copy, PDP and B2B copy
  • Foster and leverage relationships in product, merchandising, marketing and digital wholesale team to gather information
  • Actively gain knowledge of Converse’s products and processes, trends, the consumer and overall marketplace culture.
  • Works closely and cross-functionally with Site Experience, Brand and Geography teams to concept and execute seasonal global marketing campaigns for Converse.com
  • Works collaboratively with Project Managers, Producers, fellow Writers/Editors and Visual Designers
  • Comprehend briefs, and execute high-quality work while meeting deadlines
  • Utilizes exceptional writing skills and demonstrates innovation in creating original solutions
  • Communicates and presents concepts; creates presentation materials that effectively communicate
  • Be able to brief and collaborate with outside partners to execute campaigns and deliver assets
  • Demonstrates knowledge of current trends
  • Shares knowledge, experience and skill with other design staff; works with design counterparts to ensure continuity across digital touchpoints

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts in Writing, Communications, Journalism or a related field
  • 4+ years of writing experience in a corporate or agency environment required, preferably as a copywriter for a major brand, e-commerce company or digital design agency
  • Expert command of the English language (including spelling, grammar, punctuation)
  • Creative, bold, and digitally savvy
  • A genuine passion for digital marketing and the online space with a knowledge of digital commerce, SEO writing, writing for different and multiple target audiences, and social media platforms
  • Experience writing compelling and creative email, editorial and other online marketing material
  • Must be a self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, organized, detail oriented, collaborative and flexible
  • Able to multi-task
  • Knowledge of footwear and/or apparel design construction and terminology

Additional Proficiencies: 

  • Deep connection to streetwear culture and trend
  • Fluent in additional languages a plus, not a requirement
