We are looking for a Digital Designer to join our mighty Growth team.

As the Digital Designer, you will use your creative and strategic abilities to research, think critically, and demonstrate your design ability to produce engaging, strategic design solutions that bring our brand to life to drive brand, growth and business objectives. You’ll report into our Associate Creative Director and sit as part of our Brand Creative team, but you’ll work primarily on Growth-focused work.
What you’ll do:
- Produce creative, conceptual, on-brief and on-brand concepts that address the business problem at hand, and translate them into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
- Facilitate the brand and growth vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital creative including website pages, microsites, email communications, and paid assets with the intent to elevate the brand, drive growth & conversions and offer remarkable user experiences across devices.
- Design and deliver wireframes, user journeys, and creative mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces. Designwork will include (but not be limited to) websites, microsites, landing pages, email templates and modules, and paid assets. Occasionally support on print pieces for events such as banners or direct mail.
- Identify design problems and devise elegant, elevated, on-brand solutions.
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features for our channels.
- Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
- Collaborate with key team members within marketing (Web, development, CRO, campaigns, brand) as well as stakeholders across the business.
- Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.
- You know what it takes to get the work done: you excel in a fast-paced environment, and you’re an impact player who’s eager to jump in on any growth projects that need support
If you have some or all of the following, please apply:
- 3 or more years of digital design experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments and UX-specific experience. Experience with SaaS and B2B-audiences is a major plus.
- Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch and Figma. Bonus if you have experience using animation/motion software such as AfterEffects, or experience with platforms such as HubSpot.
- Ability to work with leadership and direct team, as well as cross-functional partners to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
- Strong experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
- A solid grasp of design thinking and user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, usability and accessibility concerns.
- Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to team members, cross-functional partners and leadership.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications and solutions.
- Excitement about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
- You’re passionate about resolving user pain points through great design.
- You’re open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism and work to learn.
- You’re obsessed with all things UX and other areas of design and innovation, and constantly want to uplevel your work.
- You love researching and showcasing your knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies to continuously stay on your edge.

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.
The base salary range for this role is $118,650 – $167,875.
If you live in New York, the base salary range for this role is:
$134,300 – $167,875 : New York City
$126,400 – $158,000 : Nassau, Newburgh
$118,650 – $148,300 : Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse
