Digital Media Planner

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose:

As a Digital Media Planner, you will work closely with media planners in your pod to create and execute digital advertising campaigns that meet client objectives. You will be responsible for conducting industry research, analyzing data, and tracking campaign performance. Your duties will also include developing media plans, identifying target audiences, and recommending optimization strategies to improve campaign effectiveness.

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as proficiency in digital media platforms and advertising technologies. Additionally, you should have strong communication and organizational skills, as you will be working closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams. A bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field is typically required, along with some experience in digital media planning or a related field.

Job Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with media planners to develop digital media plans that align with client objectives
  • Conduct industry research to identify target audiences and explore new digital media opportunities
  • Analyze and interpret data to track campaign performance and identify areas for optimization
  • Recommend optimization strategies to improve campaign effectiveness
  • Work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure campaign success
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Participate in team brainstorming sessions to develop innovative campaign ideas
  • Monitor campaign budgets and ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Required Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in digital media planning or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with digital advertising platforms such as Facebook Ads, Google Ads, and programmatic buying platforms

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Proficiency in media planning and buying platforms such as DoubleClick, MediaOcean, or Bionic is essential for a successful advertising campaign.
  • Google Ad certification a plus.
