As a Principal Product Designer in the Bay area, you will use Design Thinking methodology to develop empathy for the product's users. You will work closely with local and global teams to deliver high quality, end-to-end designs in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and strategize a variety of design tasks to align with our product deadlines
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of designers, product managers, engineers, researchers, subject matter experts, copywriters, and legal
  • Understand and document user research findings and iterate designs based on feedback
  • Deliver high-fidelity screens and components to support the product development process
  • Create click-through prototypes, presentations, and videos to showcase product vision and get buy-in from key stakeholders
  • Design screens by leveraging an existing design system to ensure consistent designs across our web, mobile, and native applications
  • Share knowledge and educate stakeholders about our design process and best practices to optimize our operations and elevate our organization


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Interaction Design, User Experience (UX) Design, Service Design, Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related fields
  • Experience in the application of design systems such as Google's Material Design
  • 5+ years of work experience in the design field
  • An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant experience
  • Proficiency in design, prototyping, and presentation software such as Figma and Keynote
  • Experience working across multiple platforms (e.g., products, websites, mobile apps, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate abstract design concepts visually and verbally in a clear and engaging manner


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Americans with Disabilities Act Standards for Accessible Design and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
  • Technical knowledge on HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Familiarity with Design Thinking methodology
  • Familiarity with financial and real estate terminologies
