Job Description*
The Opportunity:*
We, at Flywire, are seeking a Director of Business Operations & Strategy to support driving decision-making and strategic planning at Flywire! You will be front and center in answering some of the biggest questions across the company, leading strategic operations, effective business planning and management for the operational efficiency of core & future verticals.
- Partnering to identify and assess the viability and size of new business opportunities: new verticals, geographies, and products.
- Provide recommendations for strategic agenda items via thorough evaluation of alternatives, along with business case for recommended alternative and actions required to implement.
- Presentation of findings & analysis to executive team, board of directors, and investors.
- Driving revenue optimization through recommending business model and service delivery improvements by engaging cross-functional teams in their pursuit.
- Driving alignment on priorities across key business functions (e.g. verticals, marketing, product & engineering, finance, payment operations) through strategic planning.
- This role is highly cross-functional; you will play a key role in driving the business & decision-making that will help define the future of our platform
- Provide projected financial impacts, both benefits (i.e., revenue/margin uplift, cost efficiencies) and costs (i.e., investments, resources), to implementing recommendations.
- Maintain informed view of industry players and ecosystem to understand and react to threats, opportunities, changes, and trends.
Qualifications*
Here’s What We’re Look For:*
- 8 - 12 years of experience in management consulting (preferred), business operations/strategy at a technology company; MBA is preferred.
- Prior experience at a top tier consulting firm (Bain, BCG, McKinsey) or investment banking & private equity firm.
- Passion for technology and scaling businesses.
- A bias for action, as well as a strong sense of practicality and efficiency.
- Executive level communication skills, including the ability to use verbal and written communication to express ideas clearly and succinctly.
- Intellectual curiosity, humility, and a willingness to learn from a wide range of people.
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment with a high degree of autonomy
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive and positive relationships across the organization at all levels; you’ll only be as effective as the relationships and trust you build!
