Position description
As Director of DesignOps, you will lead a team of design specialists to reduce process and administrative burdens from designers so they can focus on design.
Candidate must:
- Identify team needs with regard to process, tools, documentation, asset management, onboarding etc.
- Work closely with directors and lead designers to optimize the design experience
- Own the system of intake, sizing, and assigning for design efforts across UI, UX, and UX research
- Have a deep understanding of multidisciplinary design processes and tools across digital product design, brand and marketing design, and user experience research
- Owning and maintaining design team budgets
- Set up delivery processes and advocate our design system, and the digital brand guidelines
- Drive to stay up to date with UI, UX, and UX research trends, programs, methodologies, and best practices
- Maintain a close partnership with DevOps leadership, ensuring collaborative growth
- Ability to partner closely with product strategy, IT, and marketing stakeholders across the organization
- Provide a forum for feedback and improvements
- Operate with a servant leadership mindset and approach
- Passion for instilling the design team culture with workshops, training, and other team-building events
- You are a design operations innovator — you are excited for the challenge to create industry leading optimization of design processes, people, and technologies

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years of professional design and, or, design operation experience. Associate Degree and 11+ years of professional design and, or, design operation experience. High School diploma and 13+ years of professional design and, or, design operation experience.
- Must provide a portfolio demonstrating: experience creating design operation mechanisms and managing design operations at scale
- Experience in Figma and, or Sketch
- Experience supporting the process and release of design systems
You demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and an ability to persuasively articulate design rationale. You are comfortable in a fast-paced, iterative/agile design process. Your working style demonstrates respect, initiative, ownership, transparency, and accountability. You have a relentless curiosity and sense of design stewardship. A have a genuine passion for helping people who need our help the most.
Additional qualifications
Healthcare experience a plus.
