AgencyAnalytics is seeking a Director of Finance for growth & agility and to drive transformative change with insights, enabling us to scale our impact. We’re 100% bootstrapped and profitable.
In addition to owning our numbers, focus areas are budgeting and forecasting, financial modelling, and optimizing performance metrics, compensation strategy & measurement systems. This position is an opportunity to take charge of a finance operation and FP&A function in a scaling tech company.
You will join a small, lean Finance team, leading the function and owning top-line financial KPIs. You get to build and be a hands-on leader with evolving and optimizing current reporting systems like forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and metrics tracking. You will establish processes where you find it's lacking to create clearer visibility and control of cost, cash, and revenue.
You'll be a thought partner to other Execs and a collaborator whose viewpoints and ideas help shape company strategy. You'll provide actionable insights, financial analysis & options that inform business decisions.
You'll also partner with teams, functional leaders, and contributors at all levels, bringing your empathy and point of view to the conversations and collaborations and challenging us to be more effective.
What You’ll Do
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth and profitability goals.
- Prepare and present detailed financial forecasts, budgets, and reports to the executive team and stakeholders.
Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage internal and external financial reporting processes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the company’s budget, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Monitor and control expenses to ensure financial efficiency and adherence to the budget.
Revenue Management:
- Oversee billing, revenue recognition, and collection processes to ensure accurate and timely revenue capture.
- Implement strategies to optimize revenue streams and manage pricing models.
Risk Management:
- Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure robust internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Ensure the team has the necessary skills and resources to achieve financial goals.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with operational and strategic objectives.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, investors, and financial institutions.
Compliance and Audit:
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and implement recommendations as needed.
Investment and Funding:
- Manage the company’s investment portfolio and funding strategies.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic investments.
Financial Systems and Technology:
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software.
- Ensure the finance team leverages technology to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Job requirements
- You bring a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA, CMA or CPA preferred.
- You have proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within the SaaS or technology sector.
- You have a strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
- You have excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- You have demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
- You are an exceptional communicator with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- PLG experience is highly desirable
