Position Overview:

The Director of Business Development will be responsible for building and cultivating a team of BDRs who identify the challenges of prospective clients and provide strategic solutions. The Director of Business Development will be responsible for the majority of the pipeline creation and new business opportunities. They will constantly hire, train and cultivate a team of individuals who handle all aspects of prospecting and lead generation.

The typical pay range for this job is $85,000 - $105,000 base ($130,000 - $170,000 OTE)
- Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
- The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with our Pitch & Marketing Teams to prospect quality and qualified opportunities.
- Leveraging our approach & strategies to identify and make contact with potential clients and know when to progress them to the next stage of our sales cycle.
- Performing Strategy Sessions, which involve diagnosing each prospect’s qualifications and desires in a consultative format.
- Hire, train and develop our next generation of BDRs
- Focus and be accountable for all aspects and metrics of prospecting
- Leverage available tools and resources to regularly engage and follow up with prospective clients (Hubspot, Zoom, phone, email, etc.).
- Utilize Hubspot as our CRM tool along with other prospecting software to drive sales process efficiencies
- Ensuring the team meets and exceeds sales targets daily/weekly/monthly
- Travel for training and/or meetings may occasionally be required
Job requirements
Characteristics & Qualifications of the Position:
- 5-7 years of Sales/BD experience, with 2+ years leading a Business Development department
- Thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced, intensive environment with a growth mindset
- Strong leadership ability supported by authentic skills, experience and a proven track record of success

- Comfortable carrying on intelligent conversations with leadership and executive/c-suite professionals

Evaluation of Mission and KPI's:
- Mission: Ensure We Accurately Hit/Track Our Sales Targets and Exceed Monthly Deal Value Projections
- KPIs:
- Maintain, Optimize and Track New Business Dashboard/Trackers and Sales Calendar with 95% Accuracy
- Lead Team to Hit 60 SQL Meetings Per Month
- Ensure Deal Value Monthly Exceeds $1.5-$2m in potential closes each month
