Director of Business Operations

We're looking for a Director of Business Operations who will take on cross-functional projects critical to the company's success. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will work closely with the Executive team and play a key role in helping the organization focus on and achieve its most important goals and deliver on business objectives. Initially an individual contributor role, we would expect you to grow into a larger role within the organization over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Program and Project Management:
  2. Direct the execution of high-value, often cross-functional, business initiatives to promote company growth, ensuring we’re all working towards the same goals 
  3. Identify and track top key business objectives, ensuring timely and aligned project progression.
  4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
  5. Create data-driven reports and decks for internal meetings and the board 
  6. Leveraging data-driven insights and business intelligence from all parts of the business to help senior leadership and business owners make important decisions
  7. Recommend revisions to existing metrics and measurements, or assist in the development of new reporting tools as needed
  8. Cross-functional Collaboration:
  9. Foster alignment with and mobilize stakeholders on the most critical company objectives and opportunities
  10. Work closely across our company to create strategies and systems that enhance productivity and company performance, including metrics and measurement
  11. Strategic Planning:
  12. Lead initiatives and work across teams to inform decisions related to annual planning, investment strategy, prioritization, and other ongoing business priorities, enabling insights and decision-making velocity in support of our transformation and that of our customers and partners
  13. Facilitate continuous process improvement by analyzing process quality and identifying and coordinating opportunities to improve business outcomes
  14. Support the timely assignment and tracking of goals for all members of the team
  15. Stay updated on external trends, benchmarking, and best practices related to the above

About You:

  • Professional Background: A minimum of 5 years in management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic finance, or tech company operations.
  • Versatility: An adaptable generalist who thrives in roles requiring varied skills and rapid learning.
  • Entrepreneurial Drive: Naturally self-motivated with an innate ability to navigate challenges, operate independently, and meet ambitious targets within tight timelines.
  • Attention to Detail: Proficient in managing intricate processes, adapting to evolving teams, and staying organized under pressure.
  • Analytical Acumen: Data-centric with mastery in Excel and the ability to articulate data insights. Familiarity with SQL is a bonus.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience in executing large-scale, cross-functional projects, and simultaneously leading diverse complex initiatives.
  • Strategic Leadership: Solid experience in business strategy, operations, and championing transformative changes. Proven prowess in steering high-level cross-functional planning and effective execution reviews.
  • Collaborative Vision: Adept at synergizing insights and objectives across multiple teams.
  • Resilience: Unwavering ability to navigate ambiguity, design actionable plans from scratch, and thrive in dynamic settings.
  • Strategic Insight: An innovative thinker capable of managing multifaceted challenges, recognizing growth avenues, and translating visionary ideas into tangible actions.

Compensation at NoRedInk is robust and includes a full range of benefits, unlimited PTO, monthly co-working stipends, an initial home-office set up stipend, and generous equity. Our salary ranges are based on factors such as expectations as laid out in the job description, location-specific market data, internal parity, and the experience and skills of individual candidates. Therefore, the compensation range is $150,000 - 200,000K and accounts for a variety of locations and skills/experience. Please know that if you are invited to speak with a recruiter at NoRedInk, they will have an open discussion about compensation during your first call to ensure alignment.
