The Role & Your Impact:

You will lead and oversee all aspects of the company’s e-commerce operations, driving growth and profitability in the online channel. Your first project will be to oversee the relaunch of the Petite Plume website. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the company's online presence, improve customer experience, increase online sales, and maximize conversion rates. You will be one of the major contributors in catapulting Petite Plume into its next phase of growth. Your role will involve building out the E-commerce team, developing best-in-class reporting capabilities, collaborating with cross-functional departments, and staying up to date with industry trends and best practices.

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • E-commerce Strategy: Develop and execute the company's e-commerce strategy in alignment with overall business objectives. Identify opportunities for growth, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and establish strategic initiatives to drive revenue, customer acquisition, and customer retention.
  • Site relaunch: Manage the re-launch of the Petite Plume website.
  • Website Management: Oversee the management and optimization of the company's e-commerce website. Ensure the website is user-friendly, visually appealing, and optimized for search engines (SEO). Manage web developers, UX designers, and content creators to continuously improve the website's performance and conversion rates.
  • Online Merchandising: Develop and implement effective online merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility, cross-selling, and upselling opportunities. Optimize product listings, categorization, pricing, and promotions to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.
  • Digital Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns that drive traffic to the e-commerce website.
  • Customer Experience: Prioritize and enhance the customer experience throughout the online purchasing journey. Optimize website navigation, checkout process, customer service, and post-purchase support to ensure a seamless and satisfying experience. Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements based on insights.
  • Personalization: Create strategic segmentation analysis to craft specific user journeys to maximize engagement and conversion.
  • Team Management: Overtime, create and manage a team of e-commerce professionals, including web developers, merchandisers, and customer support representatives. Provide guidance, set goals, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Partnerships and Vendor Management: Collaborate with external partners, such as payment processors, fulfillment centers, and technology providers, to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Budget: Build and manage the annual budget for e-commerce. P&L ownership.
  • Data Analysis and Optimization: Create reporting structure, implement systems and tools necessary to create a culture of data at Petite Plume. Analyze e-commerce performance data, including website analytics, sales reports, and customer behavior metrics. Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Utilize data-driven insights to optimize the website, marketing campaigns, pricing strategies, and product assortment. Produce reports weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.

What Experience You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven experience in e-commerce management or related roles (preferably 5+ years)
  • In-depth understanding of e-commerce principles, technologies, and best practices
  • Proficiency in website management platforms, content management systems (CMS), and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify)
  • Solid knowledge of digital marketing channels, SEO, and SEM (including tools such as SEM RUSH)
  • Experience in team management and leadership
