As Director of Payment Operations, you will lead the strategic development and operational management of our Debit Card programs. Your role will be pivotal in driving the success of our card offerings, ensuring optimal performance, compliance, and profitability. This position requires an innovative leader who can collaborate effectively with various internal teams and external partners, including banks, card processors, payment networks, and ATM networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of the debit card program, including product development, implementation, and continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor an internal team responsible for various aspects of the card program. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Risk, Product, Support, and other departments to develop strategies that enhance card program performance and customer satisfaction.
  • External Partnership Management: Liaise with bank partners, card processors, payment networks, and ATM networks to negotiate terms, resolve issues, and explore innovative solutions.
  • Risk Management: Collaborate with the Risk department to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the card program.
  • Compliance and Regulation: Ensure that all aspects of the card program adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct regular market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Financial Oversight: Develop and manage the program’s budget, monitor financial performance, and report on key metrics to stakeholders.
  • Customer Experience: Work with the Customer Support team to ensure excellent customer service for cardholders, including issue resolution and feedback management.
  • Innovation and Development: Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry developments to drive innovation within the card program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in card program management, particularly in debit cards.
  • Proven track record of managing successful card programs and leading teams.
  • Strong understanding of the payments industry, including regulatory and compliance aspects.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
