We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Project Management ****to guide, mentor, and grow our Project Management team. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic leadership to our Project Managers, fostering professional development and enhancing team efficiency.
By overseeing the successful delivery of client projects and stepping in as a Project Manager when needed, you will ensure that our clients consistently receive the highest level of service and support. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining our high standards of excellence, fostering client relationships, and contributing to the growth and retention of our client base
Responsibilities
Lead and Develop the Project Management Team
- Mentor and Guide Team Members: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Project Management team to foster professional growth and development.
- Recruit and Onboard New Team Members: Lead efforts in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new Project Managers to expand the team.
- Establish Best Practices: Develop and implement project management processes and best practices to enhance team efficiency and project delivery.
- Conduct Performance Evaluations: Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and coaching to improve skills and achieve objectives.
Drive Client Success and Satisfaction
- Build and Maintain Client Relationships: Develop and foster strong, trusting relationships with clients through regular check-ins and consistent communication.
- Ensure Project Success: Work closely with Project Managers to oversee the successful delivery of client projects, ensuring quality and deadlines are met.
- Enhance Customer Experience: Identify opportunities for improvement, upselling, and cross-selling during regular interactions to optimize the customer experience.
- Foster Client Retention: Proactively identify churn risks and implement strategies to retain clients long-term.
- Monitor Project Quality and Timeliness: Help ensure that project milestones and deliverables meet both client expectations and Brightscout’s quality standards.
- Support Problem Resolution: Partner with Project Managers to swiftly identify and resolve any project issues that may impact client satisfaction or progress.
Act as Project Manager When Needed
- Step into Project Management Role: Take on the role of Project Manager for one or more projects as needed to ensure project success.
- Facilitate Clear Communication: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure proactive, transparent communication, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Align Project Delivery with Client Expectations: Maintain alignment between client expectations and project execution.
- Support Problem Resolution: Swiftly identify and resolve any project issues that may impact client satisfaction or progress.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in project management within an agency or consulting environment.
- 3+ years of experience leading and mentoring a team.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- Proficiency in using project management tools and CRM software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
