POSITION SUMMARY

A critical part of our success is the provision of world-class Employee Benefits (Medical, Life, Retirement, and more) to our Customers and Support Employees.

We are seeking an experienced Program Director / Solutions Owner to lead and grow our Global Benefits service line; a key area of competitive differentiation for Velocity Global, an important component of our service for both Customers and our Support Employers, and also an important driver of our revenue.

This role will not only lead our Benefits Operations team, a team responsible for plan implementations, administration, and benefits support but also be responsible for furthering the success of the entire Global Benefits program. This program assembles a group of cross-functional leaders, and is goaled with optimizing the impact of our Benefits offerings. The program brings together stakeholders who hold responsibility for Benefits Plan Design and Vendor Management, Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, Sales Execution, Pricing & Packaging, Productization, and Customer/Employee service.

This is an exciting opportunity to execute the vision and strategy for the entire Benefits service line, with CEO visibility and backed by significant company investment. The role will demand experienced program leadership, including strategic vision and goal setting, leadership through influence in a matrixed environment, strong executive presence, high levels of autonomy and self-sufficiency, and the ability to dive into critical details.

This role will report to the VP, Customer Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure Velocity Global continues to be positioned as a benefits innovation leader in the global Employer of Record (EOR) space
  • Day-to-day leadership of the Benefits Operations team; a team of 10-12 experts responsible for plan implementation and administration, Benefits support for customers and supported employees, escalations management, vendor reconciliations, and customer invoicing
  • Own and further our internal Benefits reporting; ensuring we have a robust set of analytics capable of uncovering areas of over and under-performance to drive continuous improvement. This will require cross-functional work with our FP&A, BI, and Revenue Operations teams
  • Work cross-functionally with our in-house Benefits SMEs to help establish an aligned roadmap of new and renewing Benefits plans, that complement our overall country-level plan designs
  • Work closely with Product Marketing, to ensure our offerings are appropriately captured and communicated to our prospects and customers
  • Work closely with our Sales enablement team, to ensure our selling teams (Account Executives, Presales, and Customer Success Managers) are appropriately enabled and equipped to confidently articulate our offerings in the context of country-specific practices and norms
  • Work closely with our Sales leadership team to help drive and track our benefits sales effectiveness, continuously evangelizing our offerings to drive maximum revenue impact
  • Collaborate with our Pricing and Packaging experts, evaluating competitor pricing strategies and ensuring our benefits offerings remain competitive and compelling while optimizing our margins
  • Work with our Benefits Product Managers in the effort to further the automation of our benefits processes in-platform; impacting sales effectiveness, customer onboarding and benefits management experiences, as well as the experience of our supported employees via self-service
  • Work with our customer care and global in-country network of specialists to ensure the broader post-sales teams are well-equipped to talk about and manage our benefits solutions for our customers and supported employees
  • Liaise with the Finance team to ensure robust insight into our Financial impact (both top-line and margin contribution)

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • 6-8 years of experience in consulting, program leadership, or solutions development roles
  • Must have worked in an environment focused on driving Go-To-Market/Sales impact (e.g. GTM design: market positioning, pricing, sales enablement, and sales effectiveness)
  • 4-5 years of people management experience
  • Experience innovating and launching new solutions or services
  • Experience working in a strategic, analytical, or metric-driven position
  • Willingness and ability to innovate fresh and/or unique approaches and solutions
  • Ability to effectively lead and collaborate across internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive work environment, multi-task, work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple deliverables.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement of processes and efficiency gains
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and support to drive sustained improvement and career growth across the team
  • Experience in developing and managing KPIs for performance of operational and selling teams
  • Bachelor's degree required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in the global benefits marketplace or similar (will consider experience in adjacent or similar industries involving complex products, e.g. insurance, financial services, professional services, SaaS, etc)
  • Experience leading benefits administration and design in a global benefits consultancy or a multinational employer would be a strong advantage
