Draper UT, Remote - USAJob Description:

Pluralsight is the technology workforce development company that helps teams build better products by knowing more and working better together. Using our Skills and Flow products, teams can develop critical skills, improve processes and gain insights through data.

We build this exciting product ecosystem by working with smart people and uniting behind a passion for what tech can create. We’re a group of good-natured, nimble go-getters dedicated to helping people and businesses build better with technology. That means when we see opportunities to create, we go for it. We don’t let the unknown stop us from solving challenges and winning together. And most importantly, we treat each other like adults. If you can see possibilities where others see problems, have candid conversations to ensure all voices are heard and thrive in a collaborative environment, you’ll do some of the best work of your career here.

Pluralsight is searching for a Design Leader who loves to win together and make an impact by crafting environments and experiences that enable others to be successful. Someone who is user-focused, who enjoys building solutions that help customers realize value and deliver on their objectives. Are you an inquisitive, critical thinker who is always looking for how things can work better? If so, this opportunity might be a wonderful fit for you!

Who you’re committed to being:

  • A leader who cares equally about the experiences we're creating and the team members crafting them.
  • A champion who sees design as a tool for learning about peoples' lives, finding opportunities to make those lives better, and building solutions to realize those opportunities.
  • A collaborator who knows that there are a multitude of factors and perspectives that go into creating solutions, able to compromise and do what's best for the organization.
  • A mentor committed to helping team members explore their aspirations and supporting their path towards achieving them.
  • A learner who understands that no matter how much you know about a subject, there is always more to learn, relearn–or even unlearn–about it.

What you’ll own:

  • Leading the designers delivering our Learning experiences, working across a range of teams, projects, and capabilities.
  • Defining the vision and strategy for our Learning experiences in partnership with Product & Technology.
  • Providing strategic and operational direction to the designers on your team through storytelling, removing obstacles, and promoting impactful ideas and efforts.
  • Strengthening and evolving the culture within the Learning team and as a leader within the broader Pluralsight Design Community.
  • Supporting individual team members in their professional development aspirations through coaching, skill development, and building experience.
  • Ensuring that Human Centered Design methods are used consistently to surface opportunities and deliver solutions that strengthen the value we provide our customers and improve their experiences.

Experience you’ll need:

  • 4+ years as a Design Leader.
  • 6+ years as a Design practitioner.
  • Demonstrated experience of running Human Centered Design efforts including Experience Design, Research, and Strategy practices.
  • Ability to understand organizational dynamics, and their impact on design practices and process.
  • Comfort with Lean UX principles and agile product design and development processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication experience.
  • Experience in facilitation and leading collaborative initiatives, such as workshops, team activities and events.
