Domestic Tax Manager

The Role
We have a new opening for an accounting professional to support aspects of income tax for our US-based multinational. In addition to strong technical tax skills, candidate must demonstrate ability to partner with tax and finance teams from across all geographies and at all levels. Candidate must also be a team-player at core who thrives on collaborating closely with other tax and finance department professionals in extremely collegial and supportive work environment.
Primary Responsibilities
· Assist quarterly and annual global tax provision (ASC740)
· Assist with aspects of Federal and State Income tax compliance.
· Assist with preparation and review of quarterly estimated tax.
· Gather and prepare data for US Consolidated tax return and state Combined/Unitary and separate state returns
· Assist in preparation of forms 5471, Information Return of U.S. Persons with Respect to Certain Foreign Corporations.
· Conduct technical research on all tax matters and prepare or assist with internal memoranda to document management’s conclusions.
· Assist in integration of all Domestic acquisitions.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting and current CPA designation. MBA, MS in Tax, or other relevant advanced degree helpful
· Minimum of 5+ years of experience in tax accounting for US-based multinational with significant overseas operations
· Prior tax accounting and auditing experience at Big 4 desired
· Advanced knowledge of Tax software, SOX requirements, and tax audit representation.
· Recent experience with tax compliance tools (e.g., OneSource Tax Compliance, FCCS, TRCS, Hyperion Financial Manager, Hyperion Tax Provision) and their implementation extremely helpful
· Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex tax issues to non-tax personnel
· Self-starter with ability to work independently in fast-paced and flexible corporate environment
· Ultimate team player with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work seamlessly with other members of extremely collegial and supportive department and organization.
Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 - $140,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
